Constitution

The Constitution for the HVTT Forum outlines the purpose, activities and governance of the HVTT Forum.

We provide a forum for the discussion of contemporary issues related to the safety, productivity and future operations of heavy vehicles, such as:
  • High productivity vehicles
  • Pavement and bridge infrastructure
  • Vehicle-to-infrastructure interaction
  • Economics, operations and multimodality
  • Compliance and enforcement technologies
  • Dynamics, suspension and tyre technologies
  • Alternative fuels, energy sources and associated technologies
  • Data and information technologies
  • Automation and connectivity
  • Logistics and supply chains
  • Policy formation and regulations.

We do this by:
  • Arranging an international symposium at a default interval of approximately two years.
  • Planning activities between each symposium consistent with the Purpose of the HVTT Forum, such as:
    • Organising working groups and adhoc meetings
    • Running an electronic information exchange network
    • Publishing a regular newsletter
    • Maintaining a social media presence
    • Cooperating with other organisations that have interests in common
    • Identifying areas worthy of research
    • Promoting technology transfer.
